Colon Hydrotherapy

What is it?

Colon Hydrotherapy is a detoxification process. It is an internal bath for the colon that helps cleanse the colon of accumulated fecal matter, poisons, gas, and mucus deposits.  When the toxin level drops in the colon, the vascular and lymphatic systems may release additional waste into the colon for further dilution and removal.  Historically, colon cleansing with water has been recognized as a valuable practice in maintaining and regaining health. Colon cleansing has existed since at least 1500 B.C. as recorded in ancient medical documents.

What is Inner Ecology?

I chose this name for my services because I also want to offer you valuable tools and information to promote your better overall health. By addressing some of the issues that can underlie the symptoms in your G.I. tract you can restore your inner ecology and create a foundation for better health.  The gut is an ecosystem, naturally populated by a very wide variety of living organisms.  When the population is balanced and healthy our digestion improves, the  G.I. tract functions comfortably and actively supports the health of all our other body organs and systems.  But, when our gut’s ecosystem is out of balance and unfavorable organisms prevail, we experience the disastrous effects of auto intoxication (toxins manufactured from within the body).

How does it work?

Sessions involve 30 to 45 minutes of gentle water flushing of the colon using between 20 and 25 gallons delivered by a Libbe Colon Hydrotherapy Device.  Water enters the rectum through a sterile single use rectal tube approximately the size of a pencil.  Waste is freely expelled in the natural way, leaving the body around the inserted tube.  The Certified Colon Hydrotherapist can support the process using pressure points, reflexology, breath coaching, and gentle manipulation of the colon to allow more waste to be expelled.

Is it safe?

Single use sterile disposable rectal nozzles are used for each client.  Cleaning and sanitizing of the necessary equipment and clean linen is standard for each client.  The warmed water is filtered, carbon purified and UV sterilized.  The pressure of the flow is gravity controlled thus cannot exceed recommended rates.

Is it private?

The client is instructed how to insert the small rectal nozzle before the therapist leaves the room. The client disrobes and covers themselves, and while reclining on the device, does the rectal tube insertion before the therapist re-enters the room.  There is no odor because the Libbe Device is very well ventilated.  Privacy and dignity are considered a very important part of the client’s comfort and relaxation for the best response to the process.

What should I expect?

You will be gently cleansed; old hardened fecal matter will be softened and expelled with ease.  Your colon will be exercised as your natural peristaltic pattern is engaged.  Once your session is complete the clean and healthy environment of your colon will be ready for supportive nutrition.

How often would I need it?

Colonic is essentially a natural process and there is virtually no danger involved.  Both occasional and seasonal cleansing is encouraged to ease your body’s toxic burden. After a cleansing series, many clients enjoy a session once a month to maintain optimal health
